About Sebastien Borget

Sebastien Borget is Co-Founder and COO of the Sandbox metaverse as well as President of the Blockchain Game Alliance, a non-profit organization of 250 key members of the industry. In 2023, he was named in the Top 100 most influential people in blockchain by CoinTelegraph, with good reason. 

Sebastien is a global proponent of the metaverse, web3 and blockchain, when it comes to onboarding brands, communities – and even countries – into web3, perhaps nobody speaks and travels more. He is a keynote speaker and has appeared on stage at hundreds of conferences, including Web Summit 2022, NFT Taipei, Polygon Connect, Paris Blockchain Week and Vivatech, NFT Week, Singapore Blockchain Week and countless others. 

Sebastien holds a Computer Science Engineering degree from Télécom Sud Paris and a Masters Degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Born in France, he also speaks English and German fluently, and can ‘get by’ in Spanish and Chinese.

Sebastien describes himself as an “entrepreneur and Dad with 14 years experience in growing start-ups.”

He has over six years experience in Blockchain, eleven years in Mobile Gaming, and we’re excited to speak with him.

About the Sandbox Metaverse

The Sandbox is a decentralized metaverse where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences using NFTs and the Sandbox cryptocurrency SAND. Over 400 brands and global celebrities have experiences and games on the platform. Some of the biggest include Samsung, Adidas, Warner Music Group, Ubisoft, PWC, Gucci, The Walking Dead, Snoop Dogg, The Smurfs, Care Bears and Atari.

Registrations are  open for The Sandbox‘s upcoming Game Jam, which is being released in collaboration with US-based heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. Elvis was there in August.
